Bob: Tell me about your job. Kevin: I’m the Gay Men’s HIV Prevention Worker at the Regional HIV AIDS Connection in London Ontario. My job includes the development of community awareness campaigns, educational and training resources, program and curriculum development for many different target populations, all of which include gay, bi and MSM (Men who have Sex with Men). A Toronto radio show  (CFNY) just got into trouble for calling Justin Beiber gay on the radio. My first thought was, “Did they not learn a thing about these recent suicides?”  Justin, whether I like him or not (not) calling him gay was only meant to be a negative remark, once again reinforcing all the past prior messages one gets about how horrible we are. Ok, saying someone is gay is not bullying or what have you, but it's the thin edge of the wedge. I really hope things change

Last Thursday, September 16th, was Positive Youth Outreach as the AIDS Committee of Toronto. Ever notice that HIV prevention aimed at gay men seems to be mostly about casual sex, less about relationships. But some data suggests, at least in the US, that most new infections in youth occur between primary partners?
