OurSpace is a Toronto-based collective of young leaders who create innovative spaces for young guys who like guys to come together, learn from each other, discuss social issues, and have fun! Through interactive workshops, training sessions, and social events, we strive to empower each other with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to support our overall health and well-being.
We are looking to talk to folks about their lives and the "gay community" of 30 years ago. The project's mandate is try to bridge the divide between the generations by highlighting 30 stories of 30 men from 30 years ago in an artful and engaging way for the gay youth of today. We're planning on having a launch date of June 19th for the project.
Here is a link to the Facebook event,
Are you over the age of 50?

OurSpace is looking for 30 stories from 30 men about life 30 years ago!
From criminalization to liberation, conversion therapy to marriage counselling, bumpin' 'n' grindin' to just Grindr, we want to bridge the intergenerational divide in an artful and engaging way for the queer youth of today.
We're especially interested in a diversity of stories (i.e. from people of colour, transmen, couples, people living with AIDS, disabled folks, migrants and undocumented folks, etc.) Participants can request to remain anonymous.
